Dealing with Change

Change is happening all the time in our lives, and is quite stressful for most of us. In today's workplaces, change seems more frequent as employees look to adjust, adapt, and compete. We're often left feeling overwhelmed and hopeless.

In this workshop we'll explore why going through change is so difficult. We'll look at understanding change as going through a process of "transition", and discuss strategies for managing through that transition successfully.

This workshop should help you feel less distress and more in control as you deal with changes in your workplace and in your life.

Effective Communication & Listening

Communication is an essential element for building effective teams in the workplace.  However, communication can be difficult because it involves both a sender and receiver of information who have different life experiences, and approaches in communication. Both parties must be invested and open for effective communication to take place.

This training will help you gain strategies for sending and receiving information, learn the skill of ‘Reflective Listening’, and understand responses and assumptions that inhibit good communication.  The more you understand about these vital elements related to communication, the more confident and effective you’ll be with your communication exchanges.

Civility & Respect in the Workplace

An increasing number of people feel that the workplace has become less civil and respectful. Often a disrespectful workplace can escalate into harassment, bullying and aggression if left unaddressed.

In this workshop we will explore some of the causes of incivility, what it looks like, and how to identify and address it.

We will focus on ways to manage incivility in our work relationships, situational encounters, and even in ourselves.
